Necesito ayuda para los que han hecho envío de USA a Venezuela. Mi jefe (trabajo remoto) me regaló una laptop que no usaba y yo le dije que me la mandara por Liberty Express porque siempre he escuchado que es bueno para hacer los envíos, y él me lo mandó directo y supuestamente me llegaba en dos semanas, pero todavía está allá el paquete, sólo lo pasaron de las oficinas de Massachussets a las oficinas de Nueva York. Llamé a Liberty Express de aquí y resulta que ese tipo de envíos los hacen por Ipostel, después llamé a Ipostel y me dijeron que mi paquete llega en aproximadamente 40 días HABILES, o sea más de dos meses, y yo estoy necesitando esa laptop para trabajar porque mi computadora está fundida. Y por supuesto, también tengo la preocupación de que no llegue o llegue dañada.
Resulta que hoy la misma persona que me dijo que usara Liberty me dice que hice todo mal y que tenía que mandarla a Miami y después de allá me la traía un courier o algo así. Yo no sé hacer eso, pero se podría volver a mandar a Miami para mandarla con un courier de esos?
Cabe destacar que mi jefe ya pago (no sé cuánto) para mandarla para acá y eso me lo va a descontar de mi salario, así que no quisiera tener que pagar más o que le devuelvan el dinero a él si es posible.

I'd probably start it around November 2006 with the Democrats winning the Senate and probably end it around April 2008 with the release of Grand Theft Auto IV. This whole transition falls within the Core 2000s, so it's not remotely 2010s in any meaningful way, especially prior to Late 2007.
This is just the main transition that I noticed. It was arguably bigger (probably July 2006 - September 2008 at the widest stretch, but I'm really speaking on the main transition, not the entire). The purest portion of late 2000s culture (although not quite the peak like 2009ish imo) was mid-2008, since late 2008 onward would be transitional with the early 2010s culture. Tbh, all of 2008 felt predominantly late 2000s, but I will admit that there were still some significant traces of the mid 2000s that year, especially in the first third of the year, however, the entire year of 2007 was truly where the transition was made clearly evident.
This would basically be what some call, the "Dark & Digital" era.

This would help give way to society turning more liberal and more accepting of a Democratic president by 2008.

The launch of the PlayStation 3 - November 17, 2006

This would be another huge change to the gaming industry, just like the Xbox 360. This console would already launch with internet connection and have 1080p graphics (it already has a built-in HDMI cable into it). Games had never looked this good before. This console was the whole package. You could go online with it, just like the PSP (same interface/XMB too), you could have home pictures and videos on it (which I don't think was a thing before), you could watch movies on it just like the PS2 (with the addition of the new form of DVD in Blu-Ray), you could hack/jailbreak it and put Linux on it (at least you used to have that luxury in the older models), and more. This and the 360 was literally the beginning of the trend of video game consoles no longer just being about video games. They made them literally like a multipurpose device (arguably what killed gaming to some, but still, it was a game-changer). With the Spider-Man "PlayStation 3" font, this was no doubt the sexiest-looking console known to man (NO HOMO). Too bad it had a terrible launch with a $600-700 price tag, depending on what version you got, no real hard-hitting titles, and defective hardware with YLOD (I know the 360 had RROD, but it was more manageable and it actually had some games). Late 2006 was pretty safely mid-2000s overall, to be honest, but the release of the PS3 (as well as the Wii) based on what I listed was pretty big.

The launch of the Nintendo Wii - November 19, 2006

Once the Wii came out, along with the just-released PS3, the 7th generation of gaming consoles were in full gear to dominate the next years of gaming (although the 6th generation had one more year of relevancy overall, and even the PS2 lasted much longer in relevancy individually). This game had a much better launch than the PS3 and was very popular early on. Even though it was a bit kiddy, it still had a massive appeal to casuals, thanks to the Wii Sports game that many people would grow to love. It was the first console to really sort of encourage people to exercise and get off their ass rather than just sitting down and being sedentary, while still enjoying the pleasure of gaming. This would later encourage Microsoft and Sony to implement the failed experiments of Kinect and Move respectively in 2010, just to compete with Nintendo. With the Wii Sports, the interesting titles, and very affordable price tag (especially compared to the PS3), this console was a no-brainer to get your kids for Christmas.

The launch of Windows Vista - January 30, 2007

This OS would symbolically be the moment that Frutiger Aero completely took over the Y2K Aesthetic. And this OS was very much a precursor to Windows 7 in its look and capabilities, despite being a failed operating system. This was pretty much Microsoft just saying "If you're already bored with XP, here's a little teaser of something different and new to hold you guys off before we implement our next hard-hitting OS." Because no one really took Vista seriously. Most people still stuck with their XP until 7 came out.

The Virginia Tech shooting - April 16, 2007

The Virginia Tech shooting was a spree shooting that occurred in the spring of 2007, comprising two attacks on the campus of the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia, United States. Seung-Hui Cho, an undergraduate student at the university, killed 32 people and wounded 17 others with two semi-automatic pistols. Six others were injured jumping out of windows to escape Cho.
The first shooting occurred at West Ambler Johnston Hall, a dormitory, where two people were killed; the main attack was a school shooting at Norris Hall, a classroom building, where Cho chained the main entrance doors shut and fired into four classrooms and in a stairwell, killing thirty more people. As police stormed Norris Hall, Cho fatally shot himself in the head. It was the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history and remained so for nine years until the Orlando nightclub shooting. It remains the deadliest school shooting in U.S. history and the deadliest mass shooting in Virginia history.

The release of Soulja Boy's "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" - May 2, 2007

In the spring of 2007, 16-year old DeAndre Way (a.k.a. Soulja Boy) released his debut single "Crank That (Soulja Boy)", which served as the lead single from his debut studio album, souljaboytellem.com (2007) and accompanies the Soulja Boy dance. The song is recognized by its looping steelpan riff. It caused what has been called "the biggest dance fad since the Macarena", with an instructional YouTube video for the dance surpassing 27 million views by early 2008. The success of this song and respective album represented the peak of snap/ringtone rap.
"Crank That (Soulja Boy)" spent seven weeks at number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in the fall of 2007, and was the number 21 on the Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 100 Best Songs of 2007. On January 6, 2008, it became the first song ever to sell 3 million digital copies in the US. In 2009, it was named the 23rd most successful song of the 2000s on the Billboard Hot 100 Songs of the Decade.

The Sopranos finale - June 10, 2007

This is an interesting one to have here, but in a way, it's culturally significant. This was basically the very last series finale that had most citizens raving about as a collective. This would signify the end of "living room culture" from the late 90s and early-mid 2000s.

The Chris Benoit double-murder suicide - June 22 to 24, 2007

This would forever change the course and direction of the WWE, as this incident and tragedy would ruin and tarnish whatever mainstream reputation the WWE had left. And this would force them to clean their image and begin to be more family-friendly and PG, as well as toning down on the violence and sexual promiscuity over the course of the next few years. WWE would blacklist Benoit from literally everything after hearing about this. The company would never be the same again.

The launch of the iPhone - June 29, 2007

Obviously, I had to have this here because of how game-changing this was. This started the modern smartphone trend that completely took over society over the course of the last decade. There was no going back after this. Sure, it took a while before Americans finally got one, but it made its presence known on day one. This event would be my personal turning point when the overall culture started to lean toward the late 2000s, although it didn't noticeably start to feel more like the late 2000s until the fall of 2007.

The release of Transformers - July 3, 2007

A new era dawns for Celtics after blockbuster trade in the summer of 2007 that involved the Boston Celtics sending Al Jefferson, Ryan Gomes, Gerald Green, Theo Ratliff, Sebastian Telfair and two 2009 first-round picks to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Kevin Garnett. In addition to that, a month prior, the Boston Celtics acquired guard Ray Allen from the Seattle Supersonics for Delonte West, Wally Szczerbiak and the rights to the 2007 NBA Draft's No. 5 overall pick -- Georgetown forward Jeff Green. The blockbuster formed a "Big Three" with Garnett joining Paul Pierce and Ray Allen in the C's lineup. This would noticeably shift the course of the NBA, and many fans argue that this was the first real "superteam" before Lebron went to Miami in the summer of 2010 with Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade to form their own superteam.

The release of Britney Spears' song "Gimme More" - August 31, 2007

In late summer 2007, Britney Spears made her comeback with the hit "Gimme More". Just like Justin Timberlake's "SexyBack", this song was very ahead of its time with its very upbeat and electronic instrumental. This would literally be an early electropop song if I've ever seen one. It would fit right in as late as 2010ish. On a side note, this song is the epitome of the whole "Dark & Digital" vibe that the year 2007 was all about.

Kanye West sweeps 50 Cent in record sales within a week of their respective albums' release - September 18, 2007

On September 11, 2007, Kanye West's album Graduation and 50 Cent's Curtis album both released, so the two artists were in a legitimate chart battle for whoever gets the most record sales. Within a week, Kanye blew expectations out of the water, sweeping 50 Cent in record sales. This was a symbolic changing of the guard away from the mid-2000s gangsta rap era that 50 Cent ruled into the more artistic lyrical era of hip-hop that Kanye inspired. There would be a new "hip-hop alpha dog" in town. 50 Cent's career would flop and Kanye's career would skyrocket in the aftermath of this.

2007–08 Writers Guild of America strike - November 5, 2007 to February 12, 2008

The 2007–08 Writers Guild of America strike, which began on November 5, 2007, was a labor conflict that affected a large number of television shows that were due to be broadcast in the United States during the 2007–2008 television season. The late 2000s were not the best time for television due to this. Negotiators for the striking writers reached a tentative agreement on February 8, 2008, and the boards of both guilds unanimously approved the deal on February 10. Striking writers voted on February 12, to end the strike immediately, and on February 26, the WGA announced that the contract had been ratified with a 93.6% approval among WGA members.

Vince Gilligan's highly acclaimed American crime drama Breaking Bad debuted on AMC in the winter of 2008. This would be the start of an amazing era that defined the late 2000s/early 2010s and led to a prequel spinoff Better Call Saul later on.

The Wire comes to an end - March 9, 2008

The Wire concludes after 5 seasons with its finale episode "-30-", and this was its longest episode, running for a whole 93 minutes. This was the final nail in the coffin of a golden age that HBO experienced during the late 90s and early-mid 2000s with this show as well as Oz and The Sopranos.

The release of Grand Theft Auto IV - April 29, 2008

Even though by the spring of 2008, it felt pretty solidly late 2000s culturally, the release of Rockstar's next generation Grand Theft Auto video game made it official for me. This video game very much defined the pop cultural zeitgeist of the late 2000s & early 2010s. This marked the beginning of the HD universe for GTA (GTA was on the 3D universe before this installment) and influenced a lot of future video games like Red Dead Redemption, Max Payne 3, and more, with its groundbreaking combat system, as well as its driving mechanics, and especially the ragdoll physics, which fans to this day praise. This video game is regarded among many fans as arguably the greatest GTA of all time (which it was btw), rivaling that of GTA: San Andreas.

Other events that also had an impact that happened around this time period (give/take) that I could not fit on this list:

• The Housing Bubble bursts sometime in this period (not quite sure when)
• Pluto is no longer a planet (August 24, 2006)
• Saints Row is released (August 29, 2006)
• Justin Timberlake's FutureSex/LoveSounds album releases (September 8, 2006), which was the first sign of the electropop era in music with its electronic sounds.
• UPN shut down (September 15, 2006) as well as The WB (September 17, 2006) to merge and form The CW (September 18, 2006), which affected shows like Everybody Hates Chris and WWE Friday Night SmackDown!
• WWE goes through a drastic aesthetic rebrand on Monday Night Raw with a new logo, new graphics, and a new theme song (October 9, 2006)
• Amy Winehouse's hit single "Rehab" is released (October 23, 2006)
• My Chemical Romance's third album The Black Parade is released (October 23, 2006), which is typically considered the apex of emo's popularity.
• Lucas Cruikshank uploaded the first Fred video (October 30, 2006) on on JKL Productions, a channel he started on YouTube with his cousins, Jon and Katie Smet (June 11, 2006)
• Kobe Bryant debuts new jersey number #24 on the court in the 2006-07' NBA season (October 31, 2006)
• Music just going through an update of sounds and changes during 2005 and 2006, especially with rap hitting a new low, with rarely any hits afterwards. Arguably Nas' "Hip Hop Is Dead" would be the last notable rap song for a while (December 19, 2006)
• Just Jordan premieres on Nickelodeon (January 7, 2007)
• Cory in the House premieres on Disney Channel (January 12, 2007)
• Anna Nicole Smith passes away (February 8, 2007)
• Britney Spears' meltdown takes place (mid-February 2007)
• One of the most popular teen shows of the 2000s, The O.C., finally concludes in its fourth season (February 22, 2007)
• Anthony Pinto creates a YouTube account under the username "chadwardenn" (March 13, 2007) and uploads a video titled "Why PS3 is better than the Wii and 360", which would make him infamous (and later beloved) as a troll on the internet.
• Rockstar drops first trailer for Grand Theft Auto IV (March 29, 2007), showing off new impressive graphics for the next generation consoles, Xbox 360 and PS3.
• Spider-Man 3 is released (May 4, 2007), the last movie of the Sam Raimi Spider-Man series.

• Katy Perry's debut single "I Kissed A Girl" is released (April 28, 2008), which is usually considered to be the second song that officially launched the electropop era.

Just like my Early-Mid 2010s transition list, I'm doing the same with the Early-Mid 2000s transition.
I'd probably start it around August 2003 with the launch of Myspace (originally it was going to be "Hey Ya!" but I decided to include this as well) and probably end it around January 2005 with the second inauguration of George W. Bush. This whole transition falls within the Core 2000s, so it's not remotely 1990s in any meaningful way, especially by the second half of 2004.
This is just the main transition that I noticed. It was arguably bigger (probably March 2003 - August 2005 at the widest stretch, but I'm really speaking on the main transition, not the entire), but honestly, up until July 2003, it was safely early 2000s to me. The purest portion of early 2000s culture (although not quite the peak like early 2003) was March/April to July 2003, since mid-2001 to Q1 2003 was still transitional with the late 1990s culture. Tbh, all of 2003 felt predominantly early 2000s, but I will admit the changes that came in the summer and fall of that year was big enough to start the transition into the mid 2000s, however, the entire year of 2004 was truly where the transition was made clearly evident.
I know u/Ancient_Line2388 would disagree with the timeframe since he considers it to be Spring 2003 - Summer 2004.

The Launch of Myspace - August 1, 2003

This needed to be mentioned because of how groundbreaking it was. The launch of Myspace basically kickstarted the modern social media era. This was the place to be for teenagers during the mid 2000s. It didn't blow up until the fall of 2004, but its launch is good enough to add into this transition. But other than that, the early 2000s culture was still overwhelmingly dominant.

The premiere of The O.C. on Fox - August 5, 2003

Since I mentioned Myspace, I might as well mention this. The premiere of The O.C. represented a shift in teen shows at the time as Millennium era shows like Buffy, Sabrina, and Dawson's Creek came to an end a few months prior in the 2002-03' television season, giving way to new shows in the 2003-04' television season like One Tree Hill and the aforementioned one, the latter of which really captured the sunny vibe of Orange County, California, which seemed to be the main theme of a lot of pop culture and many shows during the mid 2000s.

Crunk explodes in popularity - Late 2003

Based on the success of the album's second single "Get Low)", Kings of Crunk made the top twenty of the US album chart in September 2003. This would result in the explosion of crunk music in the fall of 2003 and would peak in 2004. The release of Outkast's 'Speakerboxxx/The Love Below' - September 23, 2003

This album would mark the end of Outkast's prime as they would have one more album in 2006, which was not as successful as their previous albums. "Hey Ya!" was easily the biggest song of this album that released a month prior and was arguably their most successful song ever, and it sounds very 2003-2004. I could hear the early 2000s in it but it sounds a bit more mid 2000s to me. I don't think it would be too out of place in 2005 or 2006 either.

The Simple Life is an American reality television series starring Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. It depicts the two wealthy socialites, as they struggle to do menial, low-paying jobs such as cleaning rooms, farm work, serving meals in fast-food restaurants, and working as camp counselors. This show really popularized the McBling aesthetic commonly associated with the 2000s fashion and look, which featured a lot of pink, bedazzled jewelry, and such.

Usher's big hit "Yeah!" starts off 2004 on an enormous BANG! It immediately soars through the Billboard charts and is played everywhere. Drake and Josh finally debuts on Nickelodeon television in the winter of 2004. This represents a shift in Nickelodeon programming as they started to include more sitcoms like Romeo! The WrestleMania XX event - March 14, 2004

WrestleMania XX would represent a turning point in the landscape of World Wrestling Entertainment, going into the spring of 2004. In a way, it was kind of the end of one era and the beginning of another.

• You see the future main eventers in Batista, Randy Orton, and Orton (all three part of the illustrious 2002 OVW class) have their first WrestleMania matches and all come out victorious.
• The Undertaker returns to in-ring action as 'The Deadman' once again, facing his brother Kane, who was the same man who buried him 4 months prior at Survivor Series, putting an end to his 'Big Evil' gimmick.
• The Rock competes in his final match with Mick Foley as the Rock 'n' Sock connection once again, facing Evolution, which they lost. The Rock would have a few more appearances on Raw that year before leaving for Hollywood permanently until 2011.
• Brock Lesnar and Goldberg face each other in one of the worst WrestleMania matches ever, and they would both departure the company after the event since their contracts both expired and neither superstar wanted to renew.
• Stone Cold Steve Austin, the referee of that match who was already retired and played the role of the Sheriff on Monday Night Raw, would also leave shortly after WrestleMania, with the WWE Draft a week later being his final appearance in the company as a non-legend.
• Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero both "beat the odds" and win their championship matches, which represented the "little guys" coming out victorious at the 'Showcase of the Immortals' and the two celebrate at the end of the show.

2004 overall was a transitional year in the WWE.

The release of Mean Girls - April 30, 2004

Even though Lindsay Lohan already had some mainstream success after being in the Freaky Friday movie, which set apart from your average Hollywood child star, as well as the Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen movie, Mean Girls truly launched her A-list status as a mainstream celebrity with huge popularity. She was one of the famous teen stars of the mid 2000s and also became a sex symbol in the eyes of men. This movie also launched the career of Rachel McAdams who also played a leading role with Ryan Gosling in The Notebook, and her popularity from Mean Girls made that movie really successful. This movie is noteworthy for further ushering in the McBling aesthetic and influenced a lot of the teen culture of the mid 2000s with its chic fashion, attitude, and famous catchphrases.

Friends and Frasier come to an end - May 6 and 13, 2004 (respectively)

Both Friends and Frasier come to a close in May 2004, representing the end of an era as some of the last big television shows from the 1990s conclude. The Friends series finale first aired on NBC in the United States, when it was watched by 52.5 million viewers, making it the most watched entertainment telecast in six years and the fifth most watched overall television series finale in U.S. history as well as the most watched episode from any television series throughout the decade 2000s on U.S. television. In Canada, the finale aired simultaneously on Global, and was viewed by 5.16 million viewers, becoming the highest viewed episode of the series.

Cartoon Network goes through a shift - June 14, 2004

Going into the summer of 2004, Cartoon Network debuted the CN City era, replacing the Powerhouse era of the program that dominated the millennium era of the late 90s and early 2000s. They also replaced the classic CN logo and shortened it, which was more emblematic that this was a new era.
The era was named for its bumpers, which were set in a CGI city and featured CN characters interacting with one another. These bumpers were produced by Animal Logic. The City era is notable for the new logo it brought with it, as well as the female announcer (an actress from California named Nicole Vicius) and the slogan "This is Cartoon Network." The City era saw the emergence of more Cartoon Network Original Series, which began to replace both the classic cartoons and most of the Cartoon Cartoons. Live-action programming also began airing on CN during this era.
This aesthetic era dominated the mid-2000s, although it was altered to the Yes! era in the spring of 2006, which was just an extension of CN City.

In the summer of 2004, the Los Angeles Lakers traded Shaquille O'Neal to the Miami Heat for Lamar Odom, Caron Butler, Brian Grant, marking the end of the Shaq & Kobe dynasty. This was a noticeable shift in the league.

The release of Green Day's 'American Idiot' album - September 21, 2004

1990s pop punk band Green Day would make their comeback in the summer of 2004 with the song "American Idiot" and then the fall with their album of the same name. This album started the breakthrough of the emo movement, which gave way to the popularity of emo bands such as My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, and more, as well as pop punk bands like Blink-182 and Simple Plan as well as nu-metal band Papa Roach already going the emo route in their sound, and for some, their appearance. Emo is officially here and you can thank Green Day for that. This was the turning point for me when culture shifted more toward the mid 2000s overall.

The release of the Motorola Razr V3 - November 2004

The Motorola RAZR V3, popularly called simply the Razr (pronounced /ˈreɪzə like "razor"), is a clamshell style cell phone developed by Motorola and initially released in November 2004, the first device using the RAZR moniker. With its unique and then-thin aluminium body, coupled with a high price, the RAZR V3 was initially positioned as a desirable premium phone; following price reductions, it then became extremely successful. In the United States the V3 (and its variants) was the most popular cell phone during the mid-2000s in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and remained best-selling until November 2008.

The Bush v. Kerry presidential election - November 2, 2004

The 2004 United States presidential election was the 55th quadrennial presidential election, held on Tuesday, November 2, 2004. The Republican ticket of incumbent President George W. Bush and his running mate incumbent Vice President Dick Cheney were elected to a second term, defeating the Democratic ticket of John Kerry, a United States senator from Massachusetts and his running mate John Edwards, a United States senator from North Carolina. During the 2004 presidential election, Bush defeated Democrat John F. Kerry and won the presidency with 286 electoral votes and 50.73% of the popular vote. Dubya became the last Republican U.S. president who also won the popular vote. This would pretty much be the last of the honeymoon period and the "good times" of the Bush administration during his first term, as during his next four years in office, his approval ratings would plummet and it would get so bad that he would be dubbed the worst president in history at the time.

Nintendo DS release - November 21, 2004

This was a game-changer when it came out. This signified the end of the Gameboy era and onto a new series of handhelds for Nintendo. With backwards-compatibility to Gameboy Advance games, this handheld was the total package, and it came with a stylus too. I believe this was the first Nintendo handheld with internet connection and the possibility of going online, which makes sense, since this was the mid 2000s.

George W. Bush's second inauguration - January 20, 2005

Even though we were more or less firmly in the cultural mid 2000s, Dubya's second inauguration as POTUS really honed in that we were in a new era. Things would feel a lot differently in 2005 and 2006.

• DVD rental purchases overtake VHS (June 15, 2003)
• The Madison Square Garden Monday Night Raw episode (June 23, 2003) with Mick Foley's return, the WrestleMania XX announcement (the logo would be plastered on the weekly shows throughout the summer of 2003 until the big show in 2004), and Kane unmasks and turns heel on Rob Van Dam.
• Teen Titans premieres on Cartoon Network (July 19, 2003)
• The New TNN rebrands to Spike Network (August 11, 2003)
• Romeo! premieres on Nickelodeon (September 13, 2003)
• Degrassi: The Next Generation's "Pride" two-part episode airs on CTV (October 8 & 15, 2003) and The N (October 17, 2003), where Marco comes out as gay to Spinner and becomes the first openly gay character on the show.

• Ashlee Simpson's song "Pieces of Me" releases (May 17, 2004), which was the start of a new wave of teen pop artists getting popular.
• Ryan Cabrera's debut single "On the Way Down" releases (May 24, 2004) and later peaks at number 15 on the US Billboard Hot 100 (October 5, 2004); music video featured then-girlfriend Ashlee Simpson, another rising teen pop star.
• Hey Arnold! concludes after 5 seasons (June 8, 2004)
• The Wild Thornberries comes to an end (June 11, 2004)
• Phil and the Future premieres (June 18, 2004) on Disney Channel.
• The 2004 NBA Draft takes place (June 24, 2004), which includes the #1 draft pick out of Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy, Dwight Howard, as well as Emeka Okafor, Luol Deng, Andre Iguodala, and Shaun Livingston.
• Broadband surpasses dial-up (July 2004) for the first time, marking the beginning of the end for dial-up.
• ESPN NFL 2K5 releases (July 20, 2004), which is unanimously considered to be the greatest football video game ever.
• The Fairly Oddparents "Channel Chasers" episode airs on Nickelodeon (July 23, 2004), marking a turning point in the series for the original fans of the show as the end of the original era of the series, as the episodes preceding it were arguably not as good, despite this episode premiering right in the middle of the fourth season instead of being a finale episode.

• Degrassi: The Next Generation's "Time Stands Still" two-part episodes airs on CTV (October 5 & 12, 2004), being the episode when Jimmy Brooks (played by none other than Aubrey "Drake" Graham) gets shot, and also the one when Rick (the guy who shot him) dies.
• Ashlee Simpson’s SNL lip-sync fiasco (October 23, 2004) takes place, which essentially ruins her very short-lived singing career before it even started.
• Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas releases (October 26, 2004), which represented the first wave of 1990s nostalgia (it was set in 1992) and was arguably the most definitive video game of the mid-2000s, typically considered the greatest GTA game of all time by most.
• Sony released their slim model of the PlayStation 2 console (October 29, 2004)
• THQ releases WWE SmackDown! Vs Raw (November 2, 2004), which represented a shift in the SmackDown! game series, ending the original SmackDown! series and beginning the SmackDown! Vs Raw series that dominated the 2000s sports game market.
• Halo 2 releases (November 9, 2004), one of the most hyped video games of the 2000s and one of the last big releases for the original XBOX.
• The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie releases in theaters (November 19, 2004), being the proper conclusion to the classic Stephen Hillenburg era of Spongebob Squarepants from 1999-2004.
• The "Malice at the Palace" (November 19, 2004), a fight involving both players and fans, that occurred during a National Basketball Association (NBA) game between the Indiana Pacers and the defending champion Detroit Pistons during the 2004-2005 NBA season, at The Palace in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The Associated Press called it "the most infamous brawl in NBA history.
• World of Warcraft releases (November 23, 2004), which was revolutionary for MMOs.
• Zoey 101 premieres (January 9, 2005) on Nickelodeon.
• YouTube launches (February 14, 2005)
• The premiere of The Suite Life Of Zack & Cody (March 18, 2005)
• Sony releases their first handheld console, PlayStation Portable (March 24, 2005)
